I am not sure how much insider info this org has. Perhaps those in LARP has a better idea? None the less my initial take, this seems to me it is nothing more then them prepping for the TGM on the ASSUMPTION there will be one. Prob they did the same thing this time last year I'd guess. I could be wrong of course but that is my take.
How did Vampires in Ancient Rome be able to form a near-global organisation, but modern Vampires fail to even communicate with the city nearest to their own? If you say Predator's Taint or Xenophobia, I'll kill a kitten. I swear I will. -fatih

Well it's too early to celebrate or something as Harl said. Actually it's not really earth-shattering. However this must be a strong assumption cuz they are recruiting people for TGM 2012 from what i've seen. Personally i don't expect something official till GenCon 2012 on August. CCP told that they are going to attend it as far as i remember?.
I would cross the styx with a stake on my heart to see one more sunrise... Enjoy the silence of dawn..

While a little late this year for a large fan made event ( a small one is possible still of course), next year I have a great venue. Oct here in Salem, MA is a 31day Samhain/Halloween party. And there are 2 big vampire balls a block apart within the same week (usually the 3rd week of oct). I know personally the peeps who run both events. I have little doubt I could talk to them and get them to incorporate within their events some GM like events, vendors, etc as well. And this being the capitol of real witches and witchcraft especially during the haunted happenings events in Oct it seems like a no brainer to have a community run GM here with the already established events here in Salem as well as the natural ambiance.

Now you may be saying to yourself that sounds like a great fit Harl so by next month of we hear TGM is axed why not talk to your contacts then and get it going for this Oct. Yes, that still would be enough time to get things organized on my end however the issue is accommodations. Lets assume, about 50% of the people who went to TGM come to TGM in Salem. That is about 600 peeps or so. Salem is usually fully to nearly fully booked in Oct by that following Jan. (yes almost a year ahead of time, several hundred thousand people come though salem in Oct for the haunted happenings events). Most all hotels and B&Bs are booked already for Oct in and next to salem. At this point people would have to book in Boston and that is a 30min train ride, 45 min car ride or 75min bus ride away. I am not sure how practical that would be. Thus if we did plan this it would have to be for next oct to not only organize but give those interested a fair chance to book places in or close to Salem.

None the less that is my 2 coppers/suggestion if TGM falls though.

Interesting thought! I really like it, even though I don't know if I could come. (It's quite a bit with the flight and everything.) But if TGM falls, if I were you, I would definetly do it. And I guess I'll see, what I can do to come. Somehow, I feel like a WoD News event would be something i feel more likely to visit this soon. Dramatic, sentimental me^^
