Over on a EvE forum a post linking to our exclusive report that over a year ago the concept of a universal Incarna rendering engine for both MMO's, EvE & WoD was scraped as they forked. With most of the zots, effort on the WoD side and the EvE side of things mostly shelved. A lot of debate ensued over this with both pro and con supporters of the Waking in Stations (WiS) idea. A developer finally popped in and confirmed our report;
As a side note, something I wish to address; a EvE player posted about our report questioning it's validity due to the fact we didn't cite sources of our information like we did here and other news reports in the past. The answer is simple, our sources did not come from another site but reached us directly. We (the reporting staff of WoD News) are the source. We do NOT name sources that reach us directly for what could be several reasons. The same reasons newspapers quote anonymous sources too. But rest assured news like this does NOT get posted to my front page unless we are CERTAIN it is fact from a valid source. If it is rumor or questionable we always state such as you have seen the the past.
Bottom line if you see it stated as fact on this front page you can take it to the bank. Hope this clarifies.

Not to be a buzzkill but, as is often my refrain, this is not news. They (Chris) already told us this, and at the time they told us they also said the Carbon engine for the WoD would far outshine what has been done on Incarna. It's always nice to have someone reconfirm things down the line, but I do often wonder why people don't just listen to Chris and trust him until we get actual news. Right! That said, thanks for the constant twitter updates. It's been nice to have them all aggregated in one place. Lastly, moo! Nigama

Actually it is. Chris only spoke broadly of the topic, we reported specifics (and some aspects of the story we are still choosing not to release as it does not add anything productive to the topic) which he never gave nor mentioned about a literal fork in detail, nor the implications as it pertains to Eve. If you do not like our reporting I invite you to head back over to Vampire Planet and do better yourself.

Indeed it does. Though I was referring to your name o.o. Not the epic clothes you were wearing. Unless Harlequin is also somehow connected to Victorian Goth o.o

Actually got the name from a major NPC in the Shadowrun universe originally. Simply modified him to be a Tremere as he seemed quite fitting for such. Also the word 'Harlequin' originally meant one who is in utter despair/joy at the same time.

Cool. I learn something new everyday. ^_^ I wonder why every clown-esque figure always seems to have a tie to tragedy and despair. But I am drifting waaaaaaaayyyy off topic. Original point: It is nice to see, Mr. Harlequin have the last laugh. >=D

There is also a rather frightening critter from Warhammer called a Harlequin if I am not mistaken. Also one can never forget the immortal "Harley Quin" of batman fame :)
