As you may have noticed our forums were 'upgraded' over a week ago and this caused a cascade effect of various lost of functionality and headaches for the staff here. The upgrade for whatever reason was more stripped down, and buggy, then the previous versions. Sadly my ISP had their backup server crash and all backups of all sites they hosted were lost. So a rollback wasn't possible.
So the options were these: Either wait for patches, wipe and reinstall the old version of the forum (and loose all the current messages) or the option I decided to go with, install a new forum, and archive the current.
Over the next week eventually you will see a new forum replace the current. I am configuring it currently to emulate the forum structure of what we got now. The current forum will go read-only format and be placed in a archive page for reference. I feel this is the best solution and middle ground for this crossroads.
On the positive side the new forums have built PM system and chat window. Which we will eventually move over too as well.
